Letter from the President
For years, I have been getting
the question, "How can I call a PC program from my RPG program?"
or, "How can I convert an OS/400 spooled file to a PDF file and
email it from my iSeries?". Surprisingly, there are not that
many easy ways to accomplish this. At least not without having
to purchase expensive private vendor products or worse, trying
to write professional software which uses the woefully
inadequate STRPCCMD from IBM. It's almost as if IBM
intentionally snubbed the Microsoft PC world! What's more,
the few tools and functions that are available either just flat
out barely work or they only have limited functionality, or they
are simply a bear to use and understand. And nearly all require
an experienced programmer to use.
At TurboGorilla-Software, we
believe that you should spend less time figuring out how to be a
clever programmer and more time taking coffee breaks. With that
